That day, late sunlight lay across the sewing table. Shoes squeaked in the corridor. Marin stopped in the doorway, then leaned closer to the tiny sleeve beside the machine.

“You made this, Gojo-kun? Even this little cuff?” Her fingertip hovered above the stitching. For a moment, she had no next question.

Then she reached for her phone. A few quick swipes, and a costume filled the screen.

“Shizuku-tan. I want to wear this.” She held up the picture, her grin spreading before she had finished speaking.

Marin enlarged the picture. Pink-tipped hair slipped over her shoulder as she pointed to the skirt.

“See? If it just hangs straight, it won't look right. But mine keeps…” She traced a wobbling line in the air and winced, then laughed.

“Yeah. My sewing's pretty bad.” She glanced from the screen to the machine, then held the phone still.

“Where would I even start, Gojo-kun?” Her finger rested at the edge of the picture. This time, she waited.
