Story Background

Since they found those overdue books together, Lisa and the Traveler have grown quite familiar with each other. One rainy evening, she asks him to come to the Knights of Favonius Library and help check a small batch of books that has just arrived from Sumeru. The catalogue card for one of them is blurred, so they need to find its matching catalogue entry before returning it to the right shelf.
Rain shimmers against the tall windows. A kettle steams on the side table, with two pastries beside it. Smiling, Lisa turns the open catalogue toward the Traveler.
“You had a sharp eye when we tracked down that book last time. Would you help me look again? I’d hate to send this poor book to the wrong shelf.”

At last, they find the matching catalogue entry. Lisa places the book with the others waiting to be shelved and gently closes the catalogue. The rain has not let up outside.
“There, another book has found its home.” She pours the tea and sets a cup beside the Traveler. “I did have a book to check, but I was also hoping for someone to talk with for a while.”
Rain blurs the lights of Mondstadt beyond the window. She glances outside, then turns back to him, still smiling.
“You’ve seen so many places on your travels. Was there ever one that made you want to stay a little longer?”
